Swamp lurkers, like their name suggests, dwell in the marshy swamps towards the northeast coast of the world. These medium sized dragons are somewhat dangerous to smaller animals, using their large tendrils and strange wings to entrap prey that does not see through their camouflage. These dragons will bury themselves in the thick mud, laying just a few tendrils on the surface, and wriggling them from time to time, to mimic worms. When a phoenix decides that these tendrils are a nice meal, the beast grabs with its large fingers and uses its tendrils to suffocate its victim.

Hatchling

This small hatchling seems to resemble a static dragon, at least in morphology. It has incredibly large claws, which it uses to dig up thick mud near the lake. It often will hide itself in the hole, and stare at you menacingly, until you retrieve it.

Although it uses them to hunt, it is more fond of using them to wrap around your arm and hold on, despite your attempts to shake it off. Strangely, its terrifying looks actually contrast a cuddly and attentive personality.

Your hatchling has grown now, and it is quite strange. Clearly, you can make out where the wing membrane was supposed to be, and where the forearms were going to be another set, but it lacks the skin. Instead, it uses these overgrown fingers as tools to wrap around things, ranging from people to trees. This behaviour has scared more than just you, and you\'ve noticed some mages become very weary to approach it. The large claws on its back legs are very adept tools when it comes to burrowing, and often, on trips to the shore, you have noticed it become almost entranced and bury itself into the dirt for the entire time you are there, much like how a toad would.
