Your hatchling has grown now, and despite having a pair of magnificent glimmering wings, it seems to refuse to use them for flying, instead using them for displays of dominance over others of its kind as a defense. It otherwise seems fairly reserved and will ignore you for large periods of time, only coming to you for aide once its magnificent scales have been shed. Even though it seems fairly mundane for a dragon, it does possess one unique trait- the unmistakable scent of rotting fish and salt, no matter how many times you wash it. You honestly aren't sure what use the smell of pier could be to you, but maybe one day it will be useful.

Glimmerwing seaskates are known mainly for the shimmering scales that they shed annually at the start of fall. This event is celebrated by coastal villages and towns as the festival of the fallen stars, and now represents the beginning of the fall current changes and fish migrations. Centuries ago, villagers used to believe that the falling scales of these dragons actually brought about the fish and they were considered to be scared creatures. Over time, the seaskate has lost its diefic status, but are still revered as good luck.

Dragons are regarded to be the most crucial creatures in the forest, due to the many legends surrounding a group of seven who created this world, yet there are no rock solid specimens of proof to suggest this. They are still worshiped by the less advanced villages, and often are given offerings of food and gifts of gems to earn their favor for protection and to hopefully one day own an egg from these majectic creatures. Many species exist, each with their own special powers, but there are many more discovered nearly every day, and we have yet to know why.
