Your hatchling has grown now, and it is quite the stunning beast. The fur that has grown on it glows in the dark, and the candles that it bears seem to melt incredibly slowly. You have noticed that older specimens of the animal have their candles almost worn out. Thankfully, yours does not have this problem, and it is quite energetic and playful. It also is incredibly adept with fire, when needed, and is able to set a whole shrine of candles alight without any effort, although you rarely need that assistance. As such, it is elusive even for you to find, although you don\'t mind, as viewing your creature in the wild is inspiring.

Candle Elk, although being called elk, are actually a form of kirin. Although they are quite impressive to view in the wild and their magnificent antlers are a sight to behold, they are a rare sight. Incredibly elusive, these kirin are more than capable of walking past a mage without even being seen, and with extreme silence. Only someone with a keen ear will be able to hear their footsteps, and should they attempt to pursue the creature, it will be able to easily outrun them. Mages who seek the wild eggs of these beasts will have to just as silently follow in the footsteps of the creature, until it leads them to their nest and willingly yields an egg.

Steeds are found in all regions of the veil, and as such bear many different attributes that make up these species. These creatures can be cloven, have horns of all types, wings, or any other variety of attributes, as well as elemental powers, so long as they bear four legs and hooves. It is unknown why all of these different creatures can interbreed, although it is hypothesized that they are able to due to being all offspring from the original unicorns brought by the great nature queen Jessa. Steeds still have many different uses, ranging from work animals, to the use of unicorns to manage and index what herbs, plants, and grasses can be used to make potent potions.
